CLUB BRIEFS Lions Ready To Provide Help To Needy Residents Of County Shallotte Lions Club has funds available to continue helping needy residents of southern Brunswick County obtain eye exams, glasses, hearing tests and hearing aids. In the past year the club has pro vided 16 pairs of glasses, three hear ing aids and miscellaneous travel expenses to the Duke Eye Center. Money to pay for these services comes from club fund-raising pro jects. Applications and more informa tion may be obtained through any Lions Club member or by calling Ray Evans, sight and hearing chair man, at 579-6249. Applicants must be approved by the Brunswick County Social Services Department. NARFE To Meet The Brunswick County Chapter of the National Association of Re tired Federal Employees (NARFE) will hold its monthly meeting at the Sandfiddler Restaurant, Southport, on Tuesday, Oct. 12 at noon.
