Motel Worker Gets Two Years In Prison For Stealing From Boss A soutnport motel employee who was accused of embezzling from his boss was sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty |ast week in Brunswick County Court to a charge of misdemeanor larceny. Jason Charles Morris. 31. whose address is listed on his arrest warrant us . "Soiithpon Motel." originally pleaded guilty to misdemeanor em bezzlement. court records show. The charge was later changed to larceny. He was ordered to pay $365 resti tution to his employer as a condition of parole or work release. The warrant states that on Jan. 30. Morris "was the employee of South port Motel Inc. and in that capacity had been entrusted to receive the property described above and in that capacity he did receive and take into his care and possession that proper ty" District court judges Jerry Jolly and Ola Lewis presided over court last week, with states evidence pre sented by assistant district attorneys Marion Warren and Lillian Salcines.
