Supply Man Gets S uspended Sentence In Three Break-Ins A 25-year-old Supply man was given an eight-year suspended pri son sentence and ordered to pay back more than S2,(KK) in restitution after pleading guilty in Brunswick County District Court last week to three charges of breaking and enter ing and one charge of larceny. The defendant. Tony Lee Johnson of Route 2, admitted breaking into two homes on Little Macedonia Road and a truck owned by an appli ance company last April and May. Under the terms of his suspended sentence. Johnson was put on inten sive probation and ordered to ob serve a 9 p.m. curfew, seven nights a week, for two years. He was also told to obtain a substance abuse as sessment within 30 days and to fol low any recommended treatment. Judge Napoleon Barefoot pre sided over three days of district court last week, with Assistant Dis trict Attorney Rick Green prosecut ing and Marie Jordan serving as courtroom clerk. Other defendants who appeared in court last week, with their charges, pleas and judgments include: David Capps. assault with a dead ly weapon, harassing phone call, communicating threats, second de gree trespassing, injury to real prop erty, all voluntarily dismissed.
