She will ap pear in the an nual directory of outstanding American high school students. LEWIS She is the daughter of Lester and Maiy Alice Lewis. Also. Neil Warren, a junior at West Brunswick High School, has been chosen for "Who's Who Among American High School Students." His biography will appear in the 27th edition of the annual year hook. which fea tures 5 percent of the nation's most outstand ing high school students. Somalia. Specialist Clifton Woods, a trans portation specialist attached to the a 507th Corps Support Group Air borne. was cited for quick action and selflessness in a Sept. I S inci K dent in which a guard tower was I bombed. According to Army docu [ ments. Woods and another Ameri I can soldier were able to stabilize the I profusely bleeding Tunisian soldier I until he reached a hospital. Woods was recommended for the I award by Cpt. Robert R. Russell, a I transportation officer, who said I Woods: ?rendered lifesaving first aid to a . severely wounded coalition soldier 1 by assisting in the application of a tourniquet and pressure dressing; ?exercised initiative and sound decision-making during an extreme ly tense and stressful situation hv in stantly responding to lifesaving in structions. and acting as a key mem ber of the evacuation team; and ?demonstrated extreme profes sionalism and selflessness by expos ing himself to a potentially danger ous situation in an attempt to save the life ol a Tunisian soldier. "His ability to calmly react in a highly stressful environment while applying a pressure dressing and tourniquet was exemplary." stated the certificate accompanying Woods* commendation medal. It is not Woods' first military hon or. He was also decorated for his service ill Saudia Arabia during Operation Desert Storm. A 19X7 graduate and ROTC alumnus of West Brunswick High School.
