Leland Man Gets 60 Days
For Harassing Phone Calls
A 23-year-old Leland man was
sentenced to 60 days in jail last
week after pleading guilty in
Brunswick County District Court to
a charge of making harassing tele
phone calls.
Danny Hardison of Cedar Hill
Road was accused of making nu
merous phone calls to a woman who
lives on Colon Mintz Road. Leland.
"for the purpose of annoying ha
rassing and embarrassing (her) by
using indecent language," according
to the arrest warrant. The offense is
alleged to have occurred on Sept.
22.
Hardison 's sentence will run con
current with any sentence he is now
serving.
Judge Jerry Jolly presided over
three days of district court in Bolivia
last week. Assistant District At
torneys Lillian Salcines and Rick
Green prosecuted cases for the state
while Marie Jordan served as court
room clerk.
