OIB Property Owners Donate Bridge Unveil Town Flag's Design Plaque, The Ocean Isle Beach Property Owners Association has procured and donated to the town the name plate from the island's old swing bridge as well as a sheaf of brid getenders' records, both to be dis played in the town hall. Mayor Betty Williamson accepted the plate Saturday morning during the OIBPOA's annual Thanksgiving weekend meeting, which drew a full house to the new meeting room of the Museum of Coastal Carolina. The bridge plate was purchased from an unnamed seller, and the records were donated by the T.K. Moore family, according to OIBPOA President Bob Jewell. Also at the meeting, the property owners got their first look at Dr. Donna Goodman's winning design for an Ocean Isle Beach flag. Goodman's design is a white cockle shell against an aqua background with sea oats in deep blue. The color scheme was chosen by Mayor Wil liamson and Commissioners Janet Sanders and Debbie Fox. Goodman's design was selected by the OIBPOA board of directors and approved by the town board. She was awarded a prize of $ 1 (X) at Saturday's meeting, which she in turn donated to the museum.
