December 14, 1993
There will be a Board of Adjustment Hearing held on
Tuesday, December 1 4, 1 993 at 8:30 a.m. at Town Hall
to hear the following cases:
(1) An appeal to the Board of Adjustment by Charles
A. Adams, Jr. and Stuart Cooke seeking a variance
from the zoning ordinance requirement that single fam
ily lots require 5000 square feet of land before a build
ing permit can be issued. The appellants allege that
their property located at Lot 4, Block J, Section D does
not meet the minimum square footage requirement
and that a variance from said requirement should be
granted. A copy of the variance request is on file with
the Building Inspector for review.
(2) An appeal to the Board of Adjustment by Bob
and Cathy Brown seeking an interpretation of the zon
ing ordinance, specifically Article V, Section A, No. 3
which requires structures to be placed twenty-five feet
from the lot lines. The appellants contend that said set
back is a minimum setback as opposed to an "exact"
setback and seek interpretation from the Board of
Adjustment. A copy of the appeal is on file with the
Building Inspector for review.
The appeal process is an open hearing, but public
comment is not allowed.
