"There are no guarantees that there will be enough of the above-mentioned foods to supply everyone eligi ble for this program. The food is distributed on a first come, first-served basis, an'1 once all the foods are given out, there will he no more available until the next quar ter." To qualify, all food stamp households must bring their white commodity authorization card and the green identification card. The white cards should be delivered by mail by Jan. 5. A household is considered a food stamp household if they received food stamps in December 1993. For non-food-stamp households, the person applying must appear at the distribution site in person or send a statement by their designated person authorizing VIC to release commodities to that person. The note must include the applicant's name and so cial security number, household income, number of peo ple in the household, addicts and person's nam*. autho rized to pick up commodities.
