Man vj0is House Arrest For Bilmy, Kickh iCj Drucj Detectives A Supply man who hit and kicked two sheriff's department narcotics officers alter refusing to stop tor their blue lights and sirens was sen tenced to (M) days of house arrest and two years probation on eight misdemeanor convictions in Bruns wick County District Court last week. Randy Levi Cirissctt. 2">. of Route was found guilty of two counts each of assaulting a government of ficial and resisting arrest and one charge each of seeding to elude ar rest. failure to yield to a police, tire or emergency vehicle, reckless dn \ ing to endanger, and failure to wear ,i scat belt. Court records indicate that (iris sett was stopped at the intersection of Cedar Grove Road and Mt. Pis cah Road shortly before midnight Oct. 6. after speeding to elude cap ture by Brunswick County sheriff 's detectives Mike Speck and Doug 'lbdd. As the two officers were attempt ing to take Grissett into custody, he bit Speck on the left hand three times and kicked Todd in the right foot, arrest warrants show. After finding Grissett guilty. Judge Ola Lewis sentenced him to lour years in prison, suspended on the condition that he pay a SI50 fine and S3W) for his court-appointed lawyer and submit to W days of house arrest. He was ordered not to violate anv laws, to become and re main gainfully employed, to not possess any firearms and to not har vest any Venus flytraps for the next two years, during which time he will remain on supervised probation. Judge Lewis presided over three davs of district court in Bolivia last week. Assistant District Attorney Kick Green prosecuted, while Marie Joiuafi served as courtroom clerk.
