Jenreffe-Matthews Ceremony Held At Pleasant View Church Vicki Micho I e Jcnrctte of Shal - lollc anil James Renard Matthews of Conway, S.C, were united in mar riage at 6 p.m. Nov. 27 at Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, Grisscttown. 1'he double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Hubert Reaves of vii Vernon, N Y., the ^ridc*^ nn cle, and the Rev. James L. Smith of Whiteville, pastor of the bride. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Jcnrcttc Jr. of Shal lotte. The bridegroom is the son of the Rev. and Mrs. Amos Matthews Jr. of l^ane. S.C. I he wedding was directed by Va lencia Matthew of Tallahassee, Fla., sister of the groom. Evelyn Jcnrctte of Newport News, Va.. cousin of the bride, and Alice Hill of Whiteville attended the guest register. A program of wedding music was provided by organist Brian Bur roughs of Conway, saxophonist Joe Davis of Wilmington and vocalist Hilda McKicver of Conway. The bride was presented in mar riage by her parents and escorted by her father. She wive a formal gown of white satin. The fitted bodice was fashioned with a high neckline with sheer yoke insert bordered by pouf fed, tapered sleeves. Hmbroidcrcd lace, lavished in pearls and sequins, adorned the neckline, bodice and sleeves. Falling from a basque waistline, the full skirt swept into a cathedral train. The fingertip veil of sheer illusion was attached to a wreathing of pearled baby's breath. Matron of honor was I'hyliss Reaves of Little River. S.C, cousin of the bride. Maid of honor was Je wel Reaves of Winston-Salem, also the bride's cousin. Bridesmaids were the bride's cou sins Vivian Jordan and Vanessa Reaves, both of Shallotte. and Myra Banks of North Myrtle Beach. S.C.; Nakell Matthews of Columbia, S.C.. sister of the groom; Teresa Steven son of Supply; and Cassandra King of Shallotte. cousin of the groom. Flower girls were Charita Minnie field. niece of the groom; Krystle Bland, cousin of the bride; and I akrisha Hank ins. goddaui>htcr of the bride. Ring bearer was Michael Prink. Trevor Minniefield. the groom's nephew, was the aisle pager. Serving as best men were George Williams Jr. of Conway and Chris topher Matthews of Hartford. Conn., the groom's brother. Groomsmen were the Rev. Antonio Smith of Spartanburg. S.C.; l.uther Patrick Jr. of Florence, S.C., cousin of the groom; Sigmond Jenrettc of Ra leigh, brother of the bride; Martin Matthews of Washington, D.C., cousin of the groom; Fredrick Pas ley of Charleston, S.C.; and Johnny Brown of Conway. Ushers were the Rev. Hezekiah Reaves Jr. of Shallotte, cousin of the bride; Boykin Parson of Greeley ville, S.C., cousin of the groom; Marvin Shaw of Greelcyville, S.C.; and Frnest Rogers of Conway, cousin of the groom. The bride's parents hosted a re ception at the Jones-Byrd Clubhouse in Sunset Beach, with music provid ed by the Psalms Band of Wilm ington. The register and gifts were received by Terri Mitchell. I"he groom's parents honored the bride and groom with a rehearsal dinner Nov. 26 in the Pleasant View Church Fellowship Hall. Bridal showers were given by the bridemaids at the home of Vanessa Reaves Nov. She weighed 7 pounds, l) ounces and was 20 inches long. Paternal grandparents are Guy and Gail Wescott, and paternal great -grandparents arc Guy and Martha Lou Wescott, all ol Bolivia. Maternal grandparents are Glen and Kathy Creech. Maternal great grandmother is Rosa Allen of Bol ivia. Hall Douglas S.
