Ash Man Gets Two Years For Theft Of Handaun A 2l>-\car-old Ash man was sen tenced to a year in prison after pleading guilty in Brunswick ("ountv District Court last week to a charge of misdemeanor larceny. The defendant. Charles Edward Stanley of Route 1, had been charged with the felonious larceny of a firearm He agreed to plead guilty to the lesser charge as part of a plea bargain. Stanley was arrested by Bruns wick County Sheriff's Detective John Ingram for stealing a .45-cal iber semi-automatic pistol owned by Willie Dean Gore last Nov. 6. ac cording to the warrant. Judge David Wall sentenced Gore to two years with credit for the 13 days he spent in jail after his arrest. Wall presided over district court Monday and Tuesday. Judge Jeny Jolly heard cases Wednesday. As sistant District Attorney Rick Green prosecuted, while Marie Jordan served as courtroom clerk. Other defendants who appeared in court last week, with their charges, pleas and judgments include: Marcus Alexis Bellamy. DWI. reckless driving to endanger, consol idated judgment. I x.-vel 3, Bruns wick County Jail six months, sus pended sentence two years.
