The bride is (he daughter of Mr.
and Mrs Thomas J. Young Jr. of
Winnabou. The groom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs Burnice Joseph Caus
ey Sr of Shallotte.
A program of wedding music was
presented by Rebecca Falor of
Iceland, pianist and friend of the
bride; I .on Schaberg of Wilmington,
violinist: and David Oh of Wilm
ington. cellist. Carolyn Young of In
land. soloist and cousin of the bride,
sang "Evergreen." "Parents Prayer."
"Theme from 'Love Story"* and
"The I ord's Prayer."
The bride was presented in mar
riage by her parents and son, Greg
ory Skipper, and was escorted by her
father and son.
She wore a beaded formal gown
of silk shantung and re-embroidered
Alencon lace. Her gown was fash
ioned with a fitted basque bodice
trimmed with re-embroidered Alen
con lace, pearls and sequins, styled
with a sheer yoke in front and back,
a lace Victorian jeweled collar and
an illusion buttoned back. The long
tapered silk and net sleeves were ac
cented with Alencon lace, pearls and
sequins in calla points closing with
bridal buttons. The A-line skirt fea
tured soft gathers on each side, and
lipping of lace at the center front.
The skirt and cathedral-length train
featured Alencon lace, pearls and se
quin cutouts, highlighted with a but
terfly bow at the back waist. Scai
loped re-embroidered lace, pearls
and sequins bordered the hemline
and train of her gown.
I"he bride wore a chapel-length
veil with double pout, accented with
pearls, which fell from a beaded tiara
accented with pearls and sequins.
She carried a cascading bouquet
of white orchids accented with pink
and white roses, baby's breath and
ivy greenery.

Bolivia, cousin of the bride, and

flower girl. The ring bearer was

of the bride.
Darrell Cheers of Shallotte was
best man. Groomsmen were Marion
Warren of Ash and Frank Galloway
of Bolivia, uncle of the groom.

rected the wedding. C'indv Young of
Leland, cousin of the bride, presided
over the guest register.
The bride's parents hosted a re
ception in the church fellowship hall
following the wedding. The groom's
parents honored the bride and groom
with a rehearsal dinner on the eve of
their wedding day.
Mridal showers were given by the

the church fellowship hall. Gerri
Cox at the office of Cox and Causey,
and April Evans, sister of the groom,
at her home.
