help already. In fact, I'm over
whelmed by the number of phone
calls I receive each week from peo
ple in town, throughout North Caro
lina and even other states who want
to be a part of our festival."
The three-day event needs more
volunteers in areas such as finance,
entertainment and special events,

Alaskan Visitors
Two visiting Rotarians from
Anchorage, Alaska, met as they
signed in at the South Brunswick
Islands Rotary Club last week.
They had not previously met, as
they attend different clubs in
Anchorage, but "enjoyed the extra
ordinary coincidence of a meeting
so far from home in southern North
Carolina," said assistant secretary
Jean Mcarns.
Members "make up" at other
clubs if they can't attend their own,
"no matter where in the world they
may be be," Mcarns explained.
"This helps to form the interna
tional bond between people of every
culture who join together in the fel
lowship of Rotary to work for peace
in the world," she said.
