Holden Beach Man Sentenced To Two Years For 15 Offenses A 33-year-old Holden Beach man was sentenced to four years in prison last week after pleading guilty in Brunswick County District Court to charges of carrying a con cealed weapon, trespassing, property damage, unauthorized use of a mo tor vehicle, violating a court order and 10 counts of writing worthless checks. Graham Kevin Willetts, 33, of Ocean Boulevard East admitted writ ing about $400 worth of had checks, none over $67, and cashing them at five area grocery and convenience stores. He was given a two-year ac tive sentence in those convictions. Judge David Wall sentenced Willetts to another two years for car rying a concealed .380-caliber semi automatic pistol in Sunset Beach last October. A charge against Willetts of as saulting a female was voluntarily dismissed by the state. The judge gave Willetts credit for 61 days spent in jail awaiting trial and recommended that he partici pate in the Drug Abuse Recovery Training (DART) program while in carcerated. Judge Wall presided over district court last Monday (Feb. 28), while Judge Jerry Jolly heard cases Tues day and Wednesday. Assistant Dis trict Attorneys Lee Bollinger and Rick Green.
