PEOPLE IN THE NEWS Anderson Earns Eagle Scout Rank Douglas Scott Anderson of Sup ply has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest hon or given hv the Bov Scouts of America. The West Brunswick High School se nior is the 18 ANDERSON year-old son of Scott and Teresa Anderson of Supply. He is the grandson of Edward Lee and Nealie Cumbee. Anderson is a member of Troop 2U1 and received his Eagle tanking at a ceremony held Feb. 12 at Concord United Methodist Church in Supply. Anderson, who has spent 11 years in scouting, also has been awarded the Order of the Aitow. In Cub Scouts, he received the God and Country and Arrow of Light Award. The community service project required to earn his Eagle was in stalling 2(K) feet of fence and high way signs for Concord Church. Anderson has received recognition ftom President Bill Clinton, Vice President A1 Gore, U.S. senators Jessie Helms and luiuch Faircloth, Slate Sen. R.C. Soles Jr., State Rep. Milligan re cently deployed for a four-week Combined Arms Exercise at Twentynine Palms. Calif. Milligan is the son of Ronald H. and Marylee J. Milligan of Green Hill Road, Winnabow.
