To Wed In New Jersey Mr. and Mrs. James Dunlevy of Pomona, N J., have announced the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Karen Ann, to Shane Hardee, son of Nellie Hardee of Calabash and the late Wilber Hardee. The bride-elect is a graduate of Absegami High School in Absecon, A'J., and is a licensed cosme tologist. The groom-elect is a graduate of West Brunswick High School and is a computer technologist at National Business Machines. A May 14 wedding is planned in New Jersey. Dr. Doug Mix performed the dou ble-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Judge and Mrs. Craig Ellis of Laurinburg. She is a case manager for Wellcare and Nursing Services' Brunswick County office. She is a graduate of Scotland High School and UNC Wilmington with a degree in social work. The bridegroom is the son of Judge and Mrs. Robert Lewis of Asheville. He is employed with First Union Mortgage Corporation in Wilmington. He is a graduate of Asheville Senior High and UNC Wilmington with a B.S. degree in economics from the Cameron School of Business. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a formal gown of ivory silk dupinoi. The V-neck basque bodice was adorned with beaded lace. The elbow-length sleeves were detailed with lace. The full skirt was edged with scalloped hem lace. The back bodice was en hanced by a deep V and silk covered buttons which flowed into a cathe dral-length train. Her cathedral length veil was of sheer illusion and flowed from a hack cap made of pure silk. She carried an English bouquet of ivory roses and freesia with greens handwrapped with ivory silk satin ribbons. Matron of honor was Jennifer Ellis Sahhan, sister of the bride, of Winston-Salem. Bridesmaids were Mary Margaret Wise of Winston Salem, Kim Hawkins of Wilmington, Mary Peace McRae of Richmond, Va., Margaret Koontz of Wilmington and Laura Somerville of Laurinburg. They wore gowns of ivory taffeta with princess bodices and portrait necklines. Their full skirts were tea length and accented with wide belts. The groom's father served as best man. Ushers were Greg Lewis, brother of the groom, of Charlotte; Bobby Brown of Wilmington, Ous sama Sahhar of Winston-Salem, Mike Presslcy of Asheville, Mark Lundblad of Asheville and John McGirt of Wilmington. After a reception at Scotch Mea dows Country Club, the couple left for a wedding trip to the British Virgin Islands.
