Long Beach 1-800-675-7804 BCSD Answers More Than 1,400 Calls During February Brunswick County Sheriff's Department deputies answered 1,466 calls in February, an average of more than 52 per day, according to a monthly officers' activity report released by Sheriff John Carr Davis. Deputies and detectives made 59 arrests as prosecuting witness and recovered $600 worth of stolen property. There were 220 domestic calls answered and 512 investigations made. Deputies found 52 doors or windows open while on patrol during the month, the report said. Deputies served 375 civil papers and summoned 312 witnesses. Nine mental and inebriate papers and two juvenile petitions were served, along with 318 local warrants and 80 foreign warrants. More than 101,500 miles were logged in sheriff's department vehi cles, including 28 trips out of the county.
