Goulet. also of Sunset Beach. The ribbon for best in show, se lected by the show judges, went to Solveig Snyder for her "Broken Star" quilt. Eva Mintz received the special ribbon award for best hand stitchery on her "Card I ticks' qui it; this award also was selected by the show judges, Jane Hall of Raleigh and Sue Harris of Wilmington. The "Viewers' Choice" special ribbon award was presented at the close of the show to Solveig Snyder for her "Star Spin" quilt. All show visitors were eligible to vote for the quilt they felt deserved this honor.
