Llewellyn Wins Playoff For Sea Trail Women's Title Joan Llewellyn edged Pat Reid in a sudden-death playoff to win the championship flight in the Sea Trail iuidies Golf Association's club championship last week. A playoff was used to determine the winner in four of the six flights in the second annual championship held Wednesday and Thursday on the Jones course at Sea Trail. A field of 45 women competed in five flights and played 18 holes each day. There also was a nine-hole divi sion in which golfers played a total of 18 holes over the two days. In the championship flight. Llewellyn and Rcid each finished regulation with scores of 176. Llew ellyn won the playoff to repeat as champion, and Reid repeated as run ner-up Jackie Dent took top honors in the first flight with a two-day total of 179. She was followed by Robin Walters with ! 84. Jill Wilson defeated Marti Tittle in a sudden-death playoff to capturc first place in the sccond flight. Both women finished with 36-hole totals of 207. Irene Jones led the way in the third flight with a score of 212. Dorothy Cambria finished four shots back in second place. The fourth flight also was decided in a playoff with Marge Gallop tak ing first place and Nin Consalvi sec ond. Both women had scores of 215. In the nine-hole division.
