Man Jailed For Assaulting Female > Driving While License Revoked A 28-year-old Lei and man was sentenced to three two-year jail terms last week after pleading guilty to charges of assaulting a female and driving while his license was perma nently revoked. But in effect, the defendant Larry Eugene Brown of Brunswick Mobile Home Park received only a two-year sentence, since District Court Judge Jerry Jolly allowed all the judgments to run at the same time as the two-year term Brown was given for a parole violation. Brcwm was arrested for ssssulting Arlean Brown of the same address "by hitting her about the face" on April 22. Five days later. Trooper D.A. Lewis of the N.C. Highway Patrol arrested Brown for driving in the Leland area after his drivers li cense was revoked permanently in November. 1W1. In four days of district court ac tion last week. Judge Jolly presided Thursday, while Judge David Wall heard cases Tuesday and Wednesday and Judge Napoleon Barefoot Jr. presided Monday. Assistant District Attorneys Rick Green and Lillian Salcines prosecuted. Marie Jordan served as courtroom clerk. Other defendants who appeared in court !ss!
