Thalians Stage Comedy The Thalian Association commu nity theatre will present the Beth Henley comedy, "The Miss Fire cracker Contest" July 13 ! 6 s! 8 p.m. and July 17 at 3 p.m. at Thalian Hall's Studio Theatre. The play is directed by Mark S. Butterfuss and features a cast of Lee Etta Sutton, Wendy Laursen, Me lissa Stanley, Don Simmons, Keith Shepard and Julia Domenick. Hewcn of Shaiiotte were united in marriage in a double-ring ceremony May 13 in Gatlinburg. Tenn. The bride is the daughter of Mazie B. Frink of Sunset Beach and the late Sam Ftetchcr Frink. She is a graduate of West Brunswick High School and attended Southeastern Community College and UNC Wilmington. She is employed by the Brunswick County Department of Social Services. The bridegroom is the son of Jean Cavenaugh of Shallotte and the late Lloyd Hewett. He is a West Bruns wick High School graduate and is employed by PCI at the Brunswick Nuclear Plant. Attending the couple were Brenda and Daryl Simmons of Ash and Pam and Mike Nash of Holdcn Beach. The bride wore a pearlized lace tea-length dress designed by Kathy White and daughter Dani White of Leland. She carried a bouquet of vi olets. The bride was honored with a lin gerie shower hosted by Pam Nash and Cathy Sessions at Rosa Linda's. A bridal shower also was hosted by the staff of the Medicare Unit at the Department of Social Services. The family of the bride and groom host ed a shower at the couple's home.
