White Oak Man Gets 7 8 Days For Leaving Accident Scene A 26 -year-old White Oak man was sentenced to 18 days in jail last week after pleading guilty in Bruns wick C ounty District Court to a charge of leaving the scene of a traf fic accident. The defendant. Rodney Maurice McMillian of Route I, pleaded guilty to a charge of misdemeanor hii-and-run, court records show. The arrest warrant states that McMillian "failed to give his name, address, driver's license number and license plate number to the person struck" at the scene of a collision that occurred last February on U.S. 74/76 in Lcland. Presiding Judge Jerry Jolly sen tenced McMillian to 18 days in Brunswick County Jail, with credit for the time he served awaiting trial. Judge Jolly heard cases during three days of district court last week, with District Attorney Rex Gore and assistant DA Don Kelly prosecuting Marie Jordan served as courtroom clerk. Other defendants who appeared in court last week, with their charges and judgments include: Jeanette Bottoms, simple affray.
