Shallotte Man
Sentenced To
Six Years In Two Break-Ins
A 24-year-old Shallotte man was
sentenced to six years in prison last
week after pleading guiltv in
Brunswick County District Court to
two charges of larceny and one
count of breaking and entering.
William Raymond Kratzcr of
N.C. 130 West had been charged
w'ith four felonies in connection
with two break-ins and the theft of
more than SI 3,700 worth of jewelry
and other items.
In a plea bargain, Kratzcr agreed
to plead guilty to three misde
meanors and had the fourth charge
dropped. In exchange, he was given
three consecutive two-year prison
sentences.
Kratzer was accused of breaking
into a home on Car-Griff Road.
Shallotte, last month and stealing
four drawers from a jewelry box.

assorted jewelry. He also admitted
guilt in the June IK theft of a check
book from a home on Al Street in
Shallotte.
Kratzer was arrested the follow
ing day by Detective Tom Hunter of
the Brunswick County Sheriffs
Department.
