The Rev. Jessie Bcntlcy officiated the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer J. Lyles of Shal lotte. She is the granddaughter of Ora Hewett and the late William Hewett and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jessie L Lyles. The groom is the son of Susan Kimmer of Salisbury and Reggie Norfleet of Hampton. Va. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Zackary of Sunset Beach, and the great-grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ijco Smith of Rutherfordton. Wedding music was provided by Melba Johnson, pianist, and Sandra Duran. pianist and soloist. The wed ding was directed by Teresa Gore. Penelope Ham and Prisciila Tippett attended the bridal registry. Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a pearled and sequined fitted white satin gown with appliqued neckline and long leg-o-mutton satin sleeves with shirred schiffli lace and seed pearls. The Basque waistline had a cut-out back with hanging pearls and cut-out lace. The full skirt had a semi-cathedral train with cut out lace and scalloped lace ap pliques on the front. Her layered rolled-edge fingertip veil with scattered pearls on net fea tured alencon lace with appliques of crystals, pearls and sequins on the tiara. She carried a cascading bou quet of white lilies, roses, plumosus, springeri fern and trailing English ivy. Suzanne Schutte of Wilmington served as maid of honor. Brides maids were Karen Ahalt of College Park, Md., cousin of the bride; Carolyn Byrum of Wilmington and Karen Hardee of Calabash. Junior bridesmaids were Kelly Smith of Shallotte. cousin of the bride, and Sabrina Yountz of Salisbury, sister of the groom. Jackie Ravenscraft of Marion. S.C., cousin of the groom, was flower girl. The bridesmaids wore formal gowns of cobalt blue chiara with pinch-pleated off-thc-shoulder col lars and fitted waistlines accented with rhinestone buttons. Junior bridesmaids and flower girl dresses were similar to those worn by the bridesmaids. The attendants carried hand-tied clutch bouquets of coral gcrberas, coral miniature carnations, monte casino and plumosa tied with white and coral ribbons. The flower girl earned similar flowers in a white basket. Best man was David Fann of Wil mington. Groomsmen were Stephen Lyles of Shallottc. the bride's broth er; Christopher Goodman of Salis bury, the groom's cousin; Ivey Gra ham and Rob Oliver, both of Wilm ington. Following the ceremony, a recep tion was hosted by the bride's par ents in the church fellowship hall. She is employed as a dance teacher with the Sampson County Schools and operates a dance studio in Faison. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Champion of Holden Beach. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bostick of Grifton and Pauline Varnam and the late Roland Vamam of Holden Beach. He is a 1984 graduate of Wake Forest/Rolesville High School and a 1986 graduate of Cape Fear Com munity College with an associate degree in mechanical design. He is currently employed as an installation design engineer with Hog Slat Inc of Newton Grove. Given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her fa ther, the bride wore a sheath design with open neckline alencon lace bodicc and soft puff sleeves with pearls and sequins. The wraparound detachable train was ornately deco rated with beads and lace from front to back. The bride wore her grandmother's heart necklace and carried a hand made handkerchief. In her hair she wore an ornate hairpin belonging to her late great-grandmother. For her headpiece, the bride chose a tiara of pearls and iridescent beads with two-tiered fingertip veil of sheer illusion.
