With the same goal of helping children in mind, Johnson is one of the organizers of a "Save Our Com munity" rally that will be heid Fri day at 6:30 p.m. at Kid Care child care center next to Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He is concerned that the commu nity where he grew up, and where his mother still lives, is no longer a safe place to raise a family. "Drugs and violence have taken over," he said. "But you shouldn't have to be afraid to go outside your home." "We need to show how to instill values in our children. The people of this community have got to do it for themselves, not wait on someone else to do it," said Johnson.
