Supply Resident Guilty Of Hittina Man In Nose With Shotgun f\ hi -ycar-oia eeclar Grove man was given a suspended sentence and was ordered to pay the medical ex penses of a man he hit in the face with the butt of a shotgun after pleading guilty to a reduced charge in Brunswick County District Court last week. Llovd Atlee Fullwood of Cedar Grove Road, Supply, had been charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon, inflicting serious in jury by hitting Edward Earl Hewett "in his nose, opening wounds and causing injuries requiring emer gency room treatment," according the warrant issued upon his arrest Aug. 28. Fullwood was found guilty of misdemeanor assault, inflicting seri ous injury. He was also convicted of assault on a female for "hitting her on the arm with the butt of a shot gun and hitting her about the head with his fists," with assault by point ing a gun and with communicating threats for telling her. "I'm going to blow your brains out " Judge Jerry Jolly combined the cases for judgment and sentenced Fullwood to two years in prison, suspended on the condition that he pay court costs and n >t go near his wife, except in the course of ex changing children Fullwood was told not to go near Hewett and to pay his medical expenses Fullwood was put on supervised probation Judge Jolly presided over three days of district court last week.
