Parker-Gunter Vows Spoken At Camp Meinodist Sarah Amanda Parker and James Foster Gunter Jr.. both of Lillington, were united in marriage in a 4 p.m. candlelight ceremony Sept. 24 at Camp United Methodist Church. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. George Spcake. Music was provided by Sandy Duran. pianist; Charity Duran, violinist; Doris Redwine, or ganist; and Brian Chestnut, trum peter. Vbcai selections included "The Wedding Song," "The Wed ding Prayer," sung by Sandy Duran, and "I Cross My Heart," sung by Rodney Williams. The bride is the daughter of Bob bie H. Dillard of Shallotte and the granddaughter of Madie Hewett of Supply. She is a 1994 graduate of Campbell University and is em ployed with Clinique as a consultant. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Foster Gunter Sr. of Lemon Springs and the grandson of Lula M. Gunter of Sanford and Doris Fischer of Lemon Springs. His great-grandmother is Leona Adams of Lemon Springs. He is a graduate of Central Carolina Com munity College and is employed with North Carolina Intensive Pro bation and Parole in Harnett County. Escorted and given in marriage by hei brother. Randy S. Parker, the bride wore a formal gown of white satin. The Fitted bodice was fash ioned with a basque waistline, V neck and short sleeves embedded with sequins and hand-sewn pearls. The full skirt swept into a demi cathedral train trimmed with lace, pearls and sequins with a fitted bow. The fingertip double illusion veil was attached to a tiara designed with scquincd flowers and teardrop pearls and was accented with Austrian crystals. It featured a pouf with scat tered seed pearls. She wore a pearl necklace, a gift of her aunt, and pearl earrings, a gift of her mother. She carried a bouquet of sweetheart roses, stcphanotis. ruffled fern and MRS. JAMES FOSTER GUNTERJR. She wore a long formal gown of hunter green bengaline featuring a pinch-pleated neckline, shirred sleeves accentuated with rhincstone buttons, and a fitted skirt. She car ried a white rose spray with baby's breath and English ivy. Bridesmaids were Lindy Pugh. niece of the bride, Leigh Stager of Raleigh, Dana Varnam of Holdcn Beach and Ginger Smith of Clarks ville, Tenn. Their dresses and flow ers were identical to that of the ma tron of honor. Flower girl was Jessica Hcwctt, cousin of the bride. She wore a ruf fled white organza dress featuring appliques of pearls on the bodice and sleeves, and canied a green and white basket with rose petals. James Foster Gunter Sr., father of ihe groom, served as best man. Ushers were Lynn Gunici, in other of the groom, Jason Howard of San ford, Allen McKcnzie of Sanford and Robbie Phelps of Raleigh. Joyce Nutter directed the wedding with Angie Pyatte assisting the reg ister and Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Meissner greeting guests. Programs were distubuted by Stacy and Beth Ann Hewett, cousins of the bride. A reception at Bricrwood Golf Club was hosted by the bride's mot her following the wedding. Music was provided by the Billy Hickman Band. On Friday night following the re hearsal, the groom's parents hosted a dinner for the wedding party at Sandpiper Bay Golf Club. Prcnuptial events included a bridesmaids' luncheon, hosted by the bride's mother, at Tamers Res taurant, Lions Paw. A cookout was given by the groom's co-workcrs on Aug. 28 in Smithficld at the home of Mr and Mrs. Tom Stevens. A bachelorette and lingerie show er was given by Angie Pyatte and Dana Varnam on Aug. 6 in Myrtle Beach. A miscellaneous shower was held at the home of Sandy Parker on Sent 4. co-hosted by Pam Hcwctt. Eloisc Hastings and Betty Hcwctt On Sept. 10 the Ladies Fellow ship of Lemon Springs United Methodist Church hosted a shower in the fellowship hall Following a wedding trip to Can cun, Mexico, the couple will reside in Lillington.
