A A smear campaign has been launched out of desperation by a few people who desperately don't want Ronald Hewett to be your Sheriff. You and / know that this campaign of smears will not work. Even those responsible for it should know that lies can never replace the truth. Why would this outrageous lie be drummed up? It is simply a smoke screen to divert attention from the issues in this campaign. Since Ronald Hewett is the most qualified candidate , the most experienced candidate , the best trained candidate and the best educated candidate for Sheriff, his opponents had to make up something off the wall to say about him. It is a desperate act by a desperate few who desperately don't want Ronald Hewett to be your Sheriff. No doubt there will be other attemps to smear his good name as election day nears. Ronald Hewett also wants the opportunity to make a name for himself as Brunswick County Sheriff. He has the background, the education, the leadership ability and integrity to run the entire Sheriffs department Fighting the drug traffickers will be a top priority when Ronald Hewett becomes Sheriff, because so many other crimes are caused by drugs.
