Kimberly Ann Robinson became
the bride of Leamon Waddell Clem
mons Jr. in a 6 p.m. ceremony Aug.
13 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in
Supply. The Rev. Truitt Rogers offi
ciated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. John "Toby Lewis of Ash
and Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Terry Rob
inson of Supply. She is a 1984 grad
uate of West Brunswick High
School and a 1988 graduate of
Campbell University. She is em
ployed by the Brunswick County
Board of Education at Shallotte
Middle School.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Leamon Waddell Clem
mons Sr. of Supply. He is a 1986
graduate of West Brunswick High
School and a 1993 graduate of
UNC- Wilmington. He is employed
by the N.C. Department of Correc
tion as a probation and parole officer
in Brunswick County.
The bride, given in marriage by
her parents and escorted by her fa
ther. wore a white gown of bridal
satin with sweetheart neckline and
short sleeves. The bodice was cov
ered with reembroidered alencon
lace with seed pearls and iridescents.
The skirt flowed into a full semi
cathedral train. A large butterfly
bow enhanced the back of the waist.
Her elbow-length veil featured an
open tiara with floral sprays of
pearls and double pouf. She carried
a traditional bridal cascade of peach
and white roses with freesia and
white mini-carnations embedded in
a variety of greens.
Maid of honor was Sherri Hawes.
Bridesmaids were Kim Sutton of
Fayetteville, Sara Hardee of Cala
bash and Mary Barnhardt of Shal
lotte. They wore identical jade-col
ored tea-length dresses with scoop
necklines and short sleeves. They
carried glass candelabra with floral
sprays of roses, freesia, caspia and
irises.
Flower girls were the bride's
nieces, Lauren Lewis and Courtney
Robinson. They wore white satin
gowns with jade-colored sashes and
carried white satin and lace baskets
with pearls and jade-colored bows.
The groom's father served as his
best man. Ushers were the bride's
brother, Brent Robinson of Shal
lotte; the groom's brother, Jody
Clemmons of Supply; and Jarrett
Elliott of Holden Beach.
A reception in the church fellow
ship hall followed the ceremony.
After a wedding trip to Charleston,
S.C., the couple returned to live in
Shallotte.

try, a colorful and whimsical "blue

Competency- Based Literacy
Training Scheduled At BCC
A training workshop Friday, Oct.
21, is open to anyone interested in
teaching or assisting in adult literacy
classes at Brunswick Community
College.
The 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. session intro
duces trainees to the Comprehensive
Adult Student Assessment System
(CASAS), a practical, life skills ap
proach to helping adult learners be
come competent readers.
Brunswick Community College
now uses this adult literacy program
in all its literacy classes. Anyone
teaching adult basic education
(ABE), general education develop
ment (GED) and English as a sec
ond language (ESL) programs must
complete training in CASAS. Others
who wish to be considered to teach
in these programs are invited to par
ticipate.
