Repeat Offender Gets 6 Years On 8 Misdemeanor Charges A Inland ninn with 3 lengthy record of arrests and convictions was sentenced to six years in prison last week after pleading guilty in Brunswick County District Court to eight more misdemeanor offenses. Victor Dale Sullivan, 34, of Le land Mobile Home Park, pleaded guilty to assault on a government of ficial, resisting arrest, driving while his license was permanently re voked, failure stop for a blue light and siren, reckless driving, speeding to elude airest, driving while im paired by alcohol and misdemeanor larceny. Sullivan was found to have a blood alcohol content of .11 percent when he was stopped on U.S. 74/76 at about 3 a.m. on Oct. 2 after speeding at 75 miles per hour while attempting to elude arrest for al legedly stealing a newspaper box. court records show. He was also ac cuscd of striking Brunswick County Sheriff's Deputy Michael Cierpiot on the side of the head and running from the scene. Judge Jerry Jolly consolidated the eases into three separate judgments and sentenced Sullivan to three con secutive two-year prison terms. In three days of district court in Bolivia last week. Judge Jolly pre sided. while assistant district attor neys Lee Bollinger and Rick Green prosecuted Marie Jordan served as courtroom clerk. Other defendants who appeared in court last week, with their charges and judgments include Brian C Bennett, possessing malt beverage by unknown not 19/20 years old, prayer for judgment con tinued and costs.
