> ? ? MRS. KELVIN B. HE WE IT ..Eamela L. Todd Todd-Hewett Vows Said At Letties Grove Pamela L. Todd and Kelvin B. Hewett, both of Shallotte, were mar ried Sept. 24 at Letties Grove Church in Shallotte. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Dwight Reeves. The bride is the daughter of Wi'f liam Arlee and Loretta Todd of Shallotte. She is employed at Bruns wick Surveying Inc. in Holden Beach. The groom is the son of Gerald and Faye Hewett of Calabash. He is employed at Atlantic Telephone in Shallotte. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal white gown with V-neck and V-back overlaid with lace and adorned with sequins and pearls. She carried a bouquet of roses accented with pearls and ivy. Matron of honor was Karen Stanley of Shallotte, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Colette Pullen of Holden Beach, Jennifer Sanders of Calabash and Cheryl Lee of Holden Beach. They wore floral pastel tea-length dresses with scal loped features and bows in the back. Each carried a bouquet of roses ac cented with pearls. Flower girl was Randa Stanley of Bricklanding, daughter of Randy and Wanda Stanley. She wore a long white satin gown with lace, sequins and pearls. Gerald Hewett, father of the groom, served as best man. The groom wore a solid white vested tuxedo with full-length tails. Groomsmen were Terry Hewett of Calabash, brother of the groom; Paul Clewis of Ash; and Jeremy Stanley of Bricklanding, nephew of the cou ple Ringbearer was Paul (Buddy) Clewis Jr., fon of Paul Clewis of Ash. Each wore a white tuxedo with powder blue cummerbund. Wedding music was provided by Tamala Grimes, pianist, and Chris Stanley, soloist. Wedding director was Gail Beck of Holden Beach. Register attendant was Suzanne Fazekas of Shallotte. A reception was held in the fel lowship hall of the church following the ceremony. After a week-long honeymoon trip to the mountains, the couple returned to live at Bricklanding. Shallotte Squadron Benefit Yard Sale Set For Nov. 5 The Shallotte River Power Squad ron's benefit yard sale is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 5 from 8 a.m. un til noon. Location will be in the parking area of Brunswick Building Sup plies on Highway 179 between Ocean Isle and Sunset Beach. Items to sell are solicited from squadron members the public. Any one with items to donate is asked to call Danny Hooven, yard sale chair man, at 579-0604. Proceeds from the sale will be used to help further boating safety and education in Brunswick County, said Hooven. The Rev. Carl Haynes officiated. The bride is the daughter of I Mavis G. Shue of Salisbury and R. Wayne Shue of Chattanooga, Tenn. The bridegroom's parents are Don R. and Theresa Safrit of Ocean Isle Beach. The bride is a graduate of East Rowan High School and is employ ed by Coca Cola Consolidated of Hickory. The bridegroom is a gradu ate of East Rowan High School and Central Piedmont Community Col lege. He is employed by Camden Wire of Salisbury. The bride wore an ivory shantung silk gown with full skirt and waist line accented in back with a bow and silk roses. It featured an off-the shoulder design with additional ros es on each shoulder. The bride de signed and created her veil, a three tier short length of netting edged with lace made by her grandmother. It attached to a silk bow with roses and pearls nestled in the center. She carried a cascade bouquet of silk ivory roses, babies breath, lilies of the valley and ivy. The bride's daughters, Kelly and Lyndsay Lowman, were maids of honor. They wore satin floor-length gowns of crimson/wine satin with off-the-shoulder design and ivory lace adorning the shoulder areas. The carried cascades of ivy, babies breath and burgundy and ivory tiger lilies. Bridesmaids were Robin Wiihite sister of the bride, of Gold Hill; Charlea Safrit, sister-in-law of the groom, of China Grove; Toni Kluttz of Woodleaf; and Linda Shue, sister in-law of the bride, of Salisbury. Their gowns and flowers were iden tical to that of the honor attendants. Flower girl was Katelyn Patterson of Salisbury. Ringbearer was Hunter Shue, the bride's nephew, of Salis bury. Don R. Safrit served as his son's best man. Ushers were Greg Safrit, brother of the groom, of China Grove; Mark Shue. brother of the bride, of Salisbury; Gilbert Russell, Kyle Fuller and Dean Griffin, all of Salisbury. Wedding music was provided by the bride's aunt, organist Yvonne Yost of China Grove. Soloist was Judy Kluttz of Salisbury.
