smart program begins Tuesday, Nov.

In four brief sessions, the pro
gram shows smokers the best way to
break free from cigarettes forever. It
helps participants confront the prob
lem of nicotine addiction as well as
the fear of weight gain, and offers a
kit containing powerful "stop smok
ing" tools.
Cost is $20 for the four-week se
ries of classes and supplies.
Jan Reichenbach, public health
educator for the Brunswick County
Health Department, will facilitate
the program.
The program is being offered in
conjunction with "The Great Ameri
can Smokeout" on Nov. 17, spon
sored by the American Cancer Soc
iety.

haunted house, various games
and lots of food. The Elks will
host their Kids ' Christmas
Party at 3 p.m. Dec. 3, when
Santa with arrive with gifts and
