Man Gets 7 3 Days For Beating Woman, Breaking Her Arm A 32-year-old Shallotte man who beat a woman and broke her arm was sentenced to the time he spent in jail awaiting trial after pleading guilty in Brunswick County District Court to a charge of assaulting a fe male. Judge Napoleon Barefoot Jr. sen tenced Dover to 45 days in jail and suspended all but 13 days of the sen tence on the condition that Dover pay $462.50 toward the woman's medical bills, $M) court costs and $70 jail fees. He was given credit for time served and put on supervised probation for two years. The judge ordered Dover "not to go back around, have any contact with, assault, harass or threaten the prosecuting witness for two years."
