Bom in Brunswick County on May 31, 1924, he was a son of the late Allard and Elizabeth Stocks Grissctt. He was a retired dredge boat engineer and an avid deer hunter. Survivors include two sisters, llene Brailshcr of Calabash and l>ena Gore of Ix-land; three brothers. Harold Gore and the Rev. Bobby Norton. Entombment was in Brunswick Memorial Gardens Mausoleum U.Ci. GORE U.G. liore of Nakina died Nov. 18 in Columbus County. He was 68 years old. Funeral services were held Nov. 21 at Gore's Chapel Church with the Rev Eugene Evans and the Rev Clarence Richardson officiating. Bur ial followed in the church cemetery. Mr. Gore and his family lived in the Bug Hill Community, where he was a tobacco and potato farmer. He is survived by Virginia (Cricket) Register Gore, his wife of 58 years; two sons. District Attorney Rex Core and wife Janice, auu P nil Gore and wife Sue; two grandchil dren; a sister, Ruth King of Brunswick County; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Magdalene King, Lillian Price and infant Annie Gore, and brothers Otis, D.C., Elwood and Ray. Mr. Gore was a long-time deacon at Gore's Chapel Church. He was a member of the Simmons' Bay Hunting Club. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Tabor City Masonic Lodge 463.
