"I think we've got a good shot at taking four or five guys to the state tournament and this schedule will help pre pare them for that." West Brunswick's busiest wrestling schedule ever could provide about 50 matches for each wrestler. "I know that's a lot. I don't want to burn them out, but it's a known fact that the more you wrestle the better you get." Noble said. Noble's son should have an immediate impact on the Trojan squad. Billy Noble has won more than 170 matches in the last four years and captured numerous state championships on the junior level. "I've been looking forward to this for a long time," Coach Noble said of the opportunity to coach his son. For the last two years Billy Noble has been wrestling on the "cadet" level, which is comparable to high school. He posted a record of 45-6 last year and four of the losses were at national tournaments. Noble and Wemyss are the first products of the Brunswick County parks and recreation youth wrestling program to reach West Brunswick High. "I finally got two kids off my youth program. Next year I'll get five or six and the year after that I'll get five or six," Coach Noble said. "So in two years or so we should be state contenders because all of those kids have wrestled in state tourna ments and done well. That's the exciting thing for me. I know they're out there and they'll be here soon." West Brunswick was scheduled to open the season at home Tuesday night against Laney. The Trojans will travel to Wilmington next Tuesday for a match at Hog gard and again Dec. 3 for the Laney Booster Club Tour nament.
