Man Told To Stay Away From Woman Who Accused Him Of Stalking A Holdcn Bcach man was ordered to stay away from a Shallottc woman for two years last week after he pleaded no contest in Brunswick County District Court to charges of stalking her and making harassing telephone calls. Jimmy Mintz, 27, was charged with following a woman who lives on Cotton Patch Road "with the in tent io cause emotional distress by placing this person in reasonable fear of bodily injury after reasonable warning and request to desist," ac cording to his arrest warrant. "These acts constituted a pattern of conduct over a period of time evi dencing a continuity of purpose," the warrant said. In another arrest warrant, Mintz was accused of making telephone calls to the same woman "repeatedly for the purpose of harassing and em barrassing" her. After accepting the plea. Judge Ola l>ewis Bray issued a prayer for judgment continued on the condition that Mintz pay court costs and "not threaten, assault, harass, follow, in timidate. call or have any communi cation with the prosecuting witness whatever." He was also ordered not to violate any laws for two years. Judges David Wall, Napoleon Barefoot Jr. and Bray presided over three days of district court in Bolivia last week.
