Cape Fear Civil War Round Table
will present a program on (he Battle
of Bentonville at its Dec. 8 meeting
at 7:30 p.m. in Room 101 of King
Hall. UNC- Wilmington.
Mark Bradley of Raleigh, who is
completing a definitive study of the
battle, will present a lecture includ
ing a slide program detailing troop
movements in the Battle of Benton
ville. The 1865 battle, which has re
ceived little attention from scholars,
took place in Johnston County in
southeastern North Carolina and
was the last large engagement of the
Civil War in North Carolina.
The Round Table now has nearly

For BCC Winter Classes
It's not too late to register for
winter quarter curriculum classes at
Brunswick Community College.
Prospective students can register
through Friday, Dec. 2 at the main
BCC campus north of Supply on
College Road off U.S. 17.
Registration hours were 10 a.m.
to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 30, and Thursday,
Dec. 1. Hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
only Friday.
Late registration is being held in
the multipurpose room downstairs in
the Administration Building.
The ASSET assessment inventory
assists students and their advisors in
determining what courses students
should select during registration.
ASSET seminars were set for
Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. and 5
p.m.; Thursday, Dec. 1, at 2 p.m.;
and Friday, Dec. 2, at 9 a.m.
Students who plan to take the AS
SET seminar should report to the
Student Services Office in the
Administration Building at least 10
minutes before the scheduled time.
