PATRICK CAUSEY ..Susan Dingier Walkins Hope Baptist Is Setting For Watkins- Causey Vows Hope Memorial Baptist Church at Carolina Beach was the setting for the Nov. 5 wedding of Susan Dingier Watkins of Wilmington and Patrick Causey of Ocean Isle Beach. The Rev. Amos Helms presided over the 6 p.m. double-ring ceremo ny. The bride is the daughter of Her man and Janette Dingier and Betty and John Belt, al! of Wilmington. She is a key operator at Alpha graphics of Wilmington. The bridegroom is the son of Richard and Bettie Causey of Ocean Isle Beach and Margaret and Bill Tucker of Charleston, W.Va. He is a pipe welder with Inman Constru ction at Archer Daniels Midland, Southport. The bride, given in marriage by her father, Herman Dingier, wore a traditional white satin bridal gown with ruffled cathedral train and puffed sleeves embroidered with pearls and sequins. Her iridescent tulle veil was fashioned onto combs that held up her hair. She carried a bouquet of fresh white calla lilies and babies' breath. The bride's daughter, Margaret Watkins, served as both maid of honor and flower girl and well as holding the unity candle. "The Nutcracker" was first per formed Dec. 17, 1892, less than a year before Tchaikovsky's death, at St. Petersburg's Mariinsky Theatre. Set in Nuremberg in the Bieder meier era, it recounts the adventures of a young girl, Clara, and her toy nutcracker, which comes magically to life as Clara dreams and sleeps on Christmas Eve. Clara and the Nutcracker battle and conquer giant mice, led by the evil Mouse King. After winning the battle, they journey through the woods in a storm of dancing snow flakes to the Land of Sweets, ruled by the Sugar Pium Fairy. There Clara and the Nutcracker arc treated to dances by all of the confections. Tickets for the ballet are available for $18/10 and a special $12 youth ticket is offered in all sections.
