White residence on Grubb Street. T. S. White, Jr., who holds a posi tion in Richmond, Va., has been sick at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Bagley and their two children, Joe Henry and Louise, of Suffolk, Va., visited Mrs. Bagleys parents, Mr. and Sirs. C. Williford, at the Hotel Hertford, on Sunday. "Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Blanchard, of Norfolk, Va., spent Sunday with Mr. Blanchard's mother, Mrs. T. C. Blanchard. Mrs. T. M. Davis, of New Hope, was in town on Monday. F. C. White, of Belvidere, made a business trip to Hertford on Mondav Mrs. Thomas Nixon returned Sun day from a week's stay in Elizabeth City. Mrs. Nixon took care of her little granddaughter, Nancy, while the little girl's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Braxton Dawson, and Mrs. Lloyd Horton, of Plymouth, took a trip to Louisville, Ky. Shelton White, of the Federal Farm Bank, of Baltimore,. Md., spent the week-end in Hertford with his mother, Mrs. R. T. White. J. S. Babb, of Durham, spent the week-end in Hertford with his moth er, Mrs. W. L. F. Babb. Master Reggie Tucker, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. G. R. Lane gave a surprise birthday party for Miss Elsie Cope land Friday night, January 18. The game enjoyed most was a tree of fortunes, which were selected and read. The honoree received many useful gifts. The hostess served fruits and candies.
