Fsalms 224:1. A GREAT BENEFIT ' Of all the efforts which have been made to aid the farm family, many of which have been helpful, some in! greater and rsome in less degree, there has probably been nothing tOj compare wjtn tne movement to give to the famer's faniily the benefit of electricity. Through the efforts of L. W. An derson, County Agent, with the co operation of the farmers of the var ious communities, the third rural electric line is being run in Perqui mans. Along these lines most of the farmers have taken advantage of the opportunity to avail themselves of this great labor-saving and comfort giving improvement. For electric current not only makes it possible to carry on the work of the farm household with more ease, it brings into the home so much of comfort for every member of the family that adds a zest to living and makes for the happiness of all. The home is brilliantly lighted at the press of a button and no longer is it necessary to clean and fill the kerosene lamps each morning. Wash ing michines, electrically driven, save back-breaking labor, irons heated by electricity make the work of ironing so much easier and more pleasant. Many other apjiances which save labor may be used. Both the electric refrigerator and the electric range are a joy in the home. But perhaps the thing which brings more a pleasure to every member of the family when electric curent is available is the electrically driven pump which makes running water possible in the house. That so many farm homes in Per quimans are now enjoying the bene fits of electricity is a thing to be grateful for. May the time come when electric current is available for every farm family. i State Theatre News By A. S. F.
