THREE MEETS Circle Number Three of the Wom an's Missionary Society of the Hert ford Baptist Church met Monday evening at the home of Mrs. J. W. Zackery. The devotional was con ducted by Miss Frances Manest. Readings were given by Mrs. C. L. Cannon, Miss Helen Morgan, Mrs. E. L. Laughinghouse, Mrs. J. W. Waro and Mrs. Zackery. The meeting was dismissed by Mrs. C. R Holmes to meet next month with Mrs. Trim Wilson. Twelve members were present and after the meeting the hostess serveo them a sweet course. CIRCLE TWO MEETS Circle Number Two of the Wom an's Missionary Society of Hertford Baptist Church met Monday evening with Mrs. R. L. Holmes as hostess. Mrs. Charles Johnson, chairman, presided over the business meeting, after which the meeting was turneo over to the program chairman, Mrs. John Broughton. Several members of the Society had part in the pro gram. Mrs. B. W. Pennington gave the devotional, which was take.i from 107 Psalm 1-16 verses and Mrs. T. E. Raper offered the closing prayer. Members present included Mes dames Charles Johnson, Olivia Hobbs, A. A. Perry, Tommy Miller, Ra mond Skinner, E. A. Byrum, Walter East, Margaret Winslow, V.1 A. Hot dian, D. jj,;hey, B. Vv. Pennine-ton. John Broughton, W. T. Elliott, R. L1 Holmes, William D. Landing and B. T. Wood. During the social hour the hostetb served a delicious sweet course. She was assisted in serving by Misb Betty Holmes. The April meeting will be hela with Mrs. B. T. Wood. RECENT BRIDES HONORED Misses Grace and Dorcas Knowle were joint hostesses Friday evening when they entertained at bridge complimenting Mrs. Lucius Blanch ard, Jr., and Mrs. Jack Barker, re cent brides. Those enjoying the evening, in ad dition to the guests of honor, were Mrs. S. B. Smith, Mrs. Beverly Blanchard and Mrs. Brinkley, of Eli zabeth City; Misses Sally Burdge and Elizabeth Knowles, of Washington, N. Blanchard, Mary Towe, Mary Jane Spruill, Nell Riddick, Ruth Elliot, Chic Stephens, Bernice White, and Blanche Everett.
