language.
In -form, Revelation follows the
regular lines of Apocalyptic litera
ture, using what had become its stand
ard symbolisms. Its basic ideas are
also those of Apocalyptic. The real
ity and superiority in value and power
of the heavenly order as over against
the shadowy unreality and passing
weakness of the brutal and material
early systems are emphasized with all
the force of Apocalyptic, at its best)
The end of the world and its judg
ment before the throne of God are
prophesied as near at hand.
In describing how Jesus- would in
terpret Apocalyptic literature dn the
Bible, Hewitt B. Yinhedge declares:
"When he (Jesus) spoke in the ac
cepted eschatologicrVWay, of judg
ment and a Kingd9 come, he was
using language : to -his listeners
would understand Vo which there
would be a warm r?' nse. But df he
spoke in less violent BNrms than some
dom, he did so in'ordet that he might
place the emphasis ion 'its greater
tnemes oi love, joy, pe.y:e.
"His use of the-idiom of the King
dom was the best way in which he
could possibly have conveyed certain
basic elements of his teaching; that
despite, all the forces of evil, God is
still sovereign; that despite disorder
and discontent, blessedness is yet at
tainable through, the power, of God
and obedience to him; that despite
the varieties of Obedience and dis
obedience among human individuals,
God's plan looked forward to a di
vinely ruled society. There can be
no kingdom of one. A kingdom is a
social concept and Christ must reign
supreme in one's own heart."
Prizes were won by Mrs. Louis
Howell, Mrs. Earl Meekins and the
door "prize by Mrs. Hazel Mathews.
Delicious refreshments were served by
the hostess?"

taken in connection with the law suit.
The publicity given the discovery
by the committee indicates that in
the opinion of the officials, at least,
the films are of tremendous import
ance. Press releases use such terms'
as "startling and significant," "most
extensive espionage rings in the his
tory of the United States," "too 'hot'
to bring out in public," etc.
