Mr. Brockwell went into detail re

pointing out that over one-third of the

will soon come when people in the rur-

and that' county government boards
will be allowed to make appropriations
for this purpose. ;: .,v
Jerome Flora paid a lovely tribute
to Chief Hall and at his suggestion
the convention was unanimously voted
as the "Fire Chief R.K. Hall meet.
Mr. Flannegan then went into the
election of officers, when Fete Hall of
Williamston was elected president.
W. J; Yates was elected vice-presl
dent and Miller Warren of Plymouth,
secretary. , -
At roll call practically every town
in the association - was represented.
In respect to the fire chief of Warsaw,
who lost his life end three, firemen
who were seriously injured while gol
mg - to a fire, the entire 'assembly
bowed in a moment, of silent prayer.
.- Two towns became hew members of
the association, these being Hertford
and Aurora. , ' . -
Before the meeting adjourned it was
decided to hold the next meeting in
Elizabeth City the sceond Tuesday
in April.
A tempting cold plate was. served
by members of the Edenton Fire De
partment and the meeting closed with
a rising vote of thanks to the Edenton
firemen for their hospitality and being
such delightful hosts.

a wedding trip to northern points.
