"Unto These Hills", a drama of the
Cherokees, has as central theme the
Great Removal of Indians to Okla
homa in President Jackson's admini
stration, the heroic stature of Juna
luska and Sequoy (inventor of the
first Indian alphabet), and the high
drama of Old Tsali and his sons who
voluntarily surrendered to death by
firing squad to allow a pittrui remani
of brother braves to reamin at peace
in their beloved Smoky homeland.
These dance sequences are included in

Congressman Herbert C. Bonner
has gone to bat for growers of the
Virginia-type peanut
He asked Senator Clyde Hoev and
Congressman Harold Cooley, members
of the conference committee named to
iron out differences in House and
Senate, cotton bills, to add an amend
ment relative to peanut marketing.
The amendment would provide: (1)
Virginia tpye peanuts produced for
oil but later converted to the "edible
pennut" trade would receive edible
peanut trade prices; and (2) Should
processors find the supply of edible'
Virginia type peanuts insufficient,
they will be permitted to purchase
oil peanuts of the Virginia variety
at the price, of edible peanuts.
Both houses have agreed on a bill
permitting sale of peanuts produced
over the marketing quotas provided
the yare sold for oil purposes
