Private White, a driver in the 22d Regiment's Company C, enter ed the Army in July, 1954, and re ceived basic training at Fort Jack son,' S.. C. He arrived In Europe in May, 1955. Hare. - - - CJKCLE MEETS The Mary Long Circle of the WMS of Bethel' Baptist Church met Monday night at the home of Mrs. D. J, Stoner. The home was attractively decorated, for the Christmas season. ; , 2he meeting opened by singing "It Came Upon the , Midnight Clear," after which Mrs. Wade Jordan gave -the devotional, using the Christmas story from Luke 2:8-14 as Scripture, followed by a poem and prayer. ; In the absence of Mrs. Irvin Long, program chairman, Mrs. Jor dan gave a most interesting pro gram, using the Christmas 'theme, with several members taking port: The program ended with prayer by Mrs. Stoner. ( During the business session Mrs. Stanley Blanchard, president, pre sided. After the roll call and. the minutes, chairmen's reports were heard. The group decided to join other circles of the WMS in each sending 100 tracts of the Gospel of John to Korea. Instead of exchanging gifts, as usual at the Christmas season, each member gave the value of her gift to the Lottie Moon offering for foreign missions. The hostess served delicious Christmas refreshments. Others present but not previous ly mentioned, were Mrs. Thomas Fleetwood, Mrs. Joe White and Mrs. Elliott Layden. CIRCLES TO MEET The Missionery Circles of the Baptist Church will meet next week as follows: The Vera Payne Cir cle will meet Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the church. The Artie Bratcher Circle will meet Monday night at 8 o'clock with Mrs. Hill Elliott. The Inabelle Coleman Cir cle will meet Monday nipht at 8 day night at 8 o'clock with Mrs. Julian Broiighton. . ,: o'clock with Mrs. T. G. Howard.
