' The Rev. Norman Harris, pastor, performed the double ;ring ceremony. Nuptial music was presented Iby Mrs. Chester Winslow, organist, and Mrs. Billy 'Williams, soloist. The bride is the daughter of ; Mr. and Mrs. William Leslie Sumner of Rt. 3, Hertford. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Noah P. Gregory, Sr., of Hertford. Given in marriage by her uncle, Joseph Sumner, of Nor ; folk, Va., the bride wore a formal i WAririinD crnwn nf silk ihwr and f Venice Lace over Bridal taffeta I j. fashioned with a high rise bodice " of lace and lace Mandarin collar. "' The lace sleeves ended in sheer : .tishop sleeves with lace cuffs, Iand the full skirt was accented at l - Hhe back waistline by a lace bow. .'The detachable Chapel length Strain featured lace inserts. Her s bouffant veil of imported silk ', illusion was attached to a Juliet cap of Venice lace with a design ;of seed pearls and she carried a nosegay of white roses. Mrs. Jack Thornton of .Hickory, sister of the bride, was r matron of honor. She wore a floor C length gown of aqua silk sheer 'over taffeta with Empire waistline accented with Venice lace, scooped neckline, Bishop sleeves with lace trim and a full softly gathered skirt. Her I headpiece of silk illusion was ."attached to a Halo of Mohair '. loops and silk petals, and she carried a nosegay of multi i colored daisies. 1 Bridesmaids were Miss Monnie Divers of Hertford, Miss i Tia Provo of Elizabeth City, Miss Pam Stamper of Arlington, Va., and Mrs. Pete Perry of Suffolk, l Va., sister of the bridegroom. Their 'maize gowns, headpieces - and nosegays were identical to 'that of the honor attendant. The bridegroom's father served as best man. Ushers were John Stallings of Greenville, Jimmy Byrum of Windsor, N. C, Thomas Gregory, brother of the bridegroom, and Paul Ward, cousin of the bride, both of Hertford. For her daughter's wedding, the bride's mother chose an aqua chiffon dress accented by a beaded jewel neckline with matching accessories and a beige orchid corsage. The bridegroom's mother wore a pink lace dress with matching accessories and a beige orchid corsage. Mrs. Welly White was mistress of the ceremony. Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held in the church social hall. For her wedding trip to unannounced points, the bride changed into a navy and white linen dress with matching coat and white accessories. The bride received her education at The College of the Albemarle, Elizabeth City. The bridegroom is residing in Hertford, where Mr. Gregory is employed as a member of the faculty at Hertford Grammar School. Out-of-town guests included Mr, and Mrs. Tim Gregory of Chesapeake, Va., Dr. and Mrs. Jack W. Thornton of Hertford, Donald Moore of Virginia Beach, Va., Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Perry of Suffolk, Va., Mrs. Bill Perry of Greenville, Mr. and Mrs. Voa P. Jones of Portsmouth, Va., Charles Peele of Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sumner, and Mr. and Mrs. V. A. Jones, Jr., all of Norfolk, Va.
