Building, inspecting and maintaining power
lines is a man-sized task even on the fairest
day.
But when the weather gets rough, the
Vepco lineman's task gets rougher. And
we've had some pretty weird weather lately :
violent storms, devastating floods, blustering
winds, lightning-struck trees that downed
lines and disrupted service.
And when the weather goes on the
rampage, the lineman goes on the job. Any
time. Day or night. He climbs poles, repairs
torn lines, works out in the elements until the
lights go on again.
It's exhausting work. Hard. Hazardous.
But it's vital work and the lineman does it
with pride and satisfaction. That's his job:
helping Vepco help people.
