DRAWING Judge Horner Presides At District Court Judge Fentress Horner presided at the Wednesday session of Perquimans County District Court and heard the following cases: An order was entered modifying the support payments of James Thomas Rennie to $75.00 monthly beginning November 1, with the condition that he pays $325.00 for all arrears by October 30. Stephen Spencer Tanner was tried on 2 charges, 1- breaking and entering and larceny, and 2 escaping custody. The defendant was given a 6 months road sentence on each charge. Archie Wray Trueblood, charged with assault, received a 30 day sentence, which was suspended for 5 years, paid costs and ordered not to molest his wife during that period. Russell Gilliam, charged with being drunk, was given a sen tence of not less than 30 days and not more than 6 months and placed in the custody of the Department of Correction. Nelson Overton, charged with assault, received a 30 day sen tence, which was suspended upon payment of costs with the condition that he will not molest Maggie Woodard for a period of 2 years. Henry Jenkins, charged with being drunk, was given a sen tence of not more than 30 days and not more than 6 months and placed in the custody of the Department of Correction. Richard Whedbee received a 30 day sentence on a trespassing charge, which was suspended upon payment of costs with the conditions that he will stay away from his wife and mother-in-law's home, and will not be convicted of . being intoxicated for a period of 2 years. Annie Layden Winslow was taxed with costs for failure to yield right of way.
