State University last week in Raleigh. Due to School closing later than usual local boys were unable to attend ill of the convention but did get there for Fridays session. The boys went up to get their State Farmer Degree which is the highest award that State FFA Association confers. To qualify for this award a boy must have better than average production projects or working experience and show a profit of $500.00 and have some invested or in savings. He must know Parliamentary Procedures, show leadership qualities, participated in school or com munity improvement projects and all grades must be satisfactory.
