The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emmett E. Landing, Sr. of Hertford. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Curies of Coinjock, N.C. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a street length gown of lace with empire waist. The gown featured high neck trim in lace. Her shoulder length veil of Illusion attached to a tierra of pearls and she carried a cascade of white roses. Miss Lynn Landing, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a blue vaile street length gown with empire waist and a satin ribbon sash. City Manager W. DA Cox, reported to the Boards Street Work Plans for the year 1971-72. Cox reported to the Board that he has been advised by J.A. White. Chief Engineer for Norfolk Southern Railway Company that the Railroad Crossing at Dobb and Market Street will be repaired in the near future. The Town received the Governor's Award.
